Dive the Channel Islands

I am posting this to open a dialog.  The Channel Islands are beautiful and offer opportunities for diving kelp forests and seeing pelagic marine life as well as seals and so on.  So, if you have an interest or would like to get a group together drop a line here.

Dive the Graveyard of the Atlantic

Okay, so where is the Graveyard of the Atlantic?  It is the shoals along the outer banks of North Carolina and has claimed a multitude of ship and inspired me to include Longfellow's poem, the Wreck of the Hesperus.  For many  the attraction is the U352 sunk during WWII by the Coast Guard Cutter Icarus.  The dive depths are 100+ feet and there is a fairly long boat ride to the site.  Definitely a dive for the serious or avid diver.  Now that I may have your attention, Rob P. has graciously offered to host a trip in August.  If you have some interest or comments, please post here or contact me.

Diving in Texas?

Bob gave me some information regarding an old friend who has a dive shop in San Antonio.  Bob included the newsletter, which has information on what they do for fun in Texas viz a viz scuba diving.  I don't it think involves diving the River Walk--a must do if you are in San Antonio, but they do dive around Padre Island (near Houston) and there are some lakes, which I am not familiar.  If you have an insight on Texas diving, or would like a copy of their newsletter drop a line here or contact me.
